The Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers was established in 1960 to carry on the legacy of Theodore Payne, a pioneering Los Angeles Nurseryman, horticulturist and conservationist widely considered to be the father of the native plant movement in California. Their headquarters is located on 22 acres in La Tuna Canyon, where they have a full-service native plant nursery, seed room, book store, art gallery, demonstration gardens and hiking trails.
We'll get a guided tour of the nursery and learn about native plants.
