Gold mining has been a colorful chapter in the history of the mountains above us. Many of those mines still exist, abandoned for decades, still full of rusting machinery and wooden shoring.

Crescenta Valley resident Eric Cole has explored many of those mines. He'll present some of his photos and stories from the abandoned mines of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Regular meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the the Center for Spiritual Living, formerly known as the La Crescenta Church of Religious Science located at the intersection of Dunsmore and Santa Carlotta.
