Brand Library was built as the home of Leslie Brand, who is considered one of the fathers of Glendale. The mansion, named Miradero, is an architectural extravaganza with minarets on the exterior and Victorian styling inside. Brand donated Miradero to the City, and it has served as a library and art center since. It recently went through a full renovation, and the Brand Associates and the Glendale Public Library have invited us for a private tour that will focus on its history and its restoration.
Regular meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the the Center for Spiritual Living, formerly known as the La Crescenta Church of Religious Science located at the intersection of Dunsmore and Santa Carlotta.
