Deukmejian Park - Before, During, and After the Station Fire

Thursday, August 26th, from 6 to 8PM, in the Community room of the La Crescenta Library

A photo essay on the Station Fire's one-year anniversary by photographer Bill Weisman. Local resident Bill Weisman has recorded much of our valley's recent events with his photographic skills, but his record of the changes wrought by last year's Station Fire are perhaps his most dynamic. An exhibit of his photos taken over the course of this historic time will be on display at the La Crescenta Library Community Room from August 26th through September 20th.

See the lush forested park before the fire, the dramatic photos of the destructive flames and heroic firefighters during the fire, the stark, bare moonscape immediately after the fire, and the amazing rebirth of new growth in recent photos.

We offer our Historical Society members an invitation to an opening reception with the photographer.
