Antique Sewing Machines
A Lecture and Display

Monday, August 17th 7:00pm
La Crescenta Center for Spiritual Living
At the intersection of Dunsmore and Santa Carlotta

Mike Sabo and Ginger Alberti present the interesting history of the humble sewing machine. The clever and innovative mechanics combined with the extraordinary beauty in design make these relics of the 1800's collector's delights... but better than that, they work - sewing a perfect stitch! The unexpected influence on domestic, political, business and labor - in America and across Europe - brought many changes to our societies and our way of life. A collection of special machines will be on display, and for you to try out!

Regular meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the the Center for Spiritual Living, formerly known as the La Crescenta Church of Religious Science located at the intersection of Dunsmore and Santa Carlotta.
